Steven Gerard

I feel that Steven Gerard’s been Liverpool for the last few years but without a doubt the moment of his professional career has to be that day in 2005 in the Champions League final in Istanbul. Other moments that were big were his debut against Blackburn Rovers and the FA Cup final against west Ham in 2006 these were the moments that defend a brilliant Liverpool career. Every England fan will say that the moment of his career is the 5-1 win over Germany.

Steven Gerards biggest regret is probably never winning the league title and I feel that it might be a few years before Liverpool get that chance.

Ifeel that Steven Gerard is the greatest player that I have ever seen in a Liverpool shirt as I have not seen any of the greats play in the 80s . I think that he could fit in an all-time Liverpool team along with Graham Souness and there might be one other Premiership player who would get a spot but that is it. I think he will never be forgotton.

Liverpool will now not have a player that can get in any team this season for the first time in their history and that might mean a downward spiral unless they can buy a couple of quality players quick but what Quality player would want to go to Liverpool at the moment I am not sure. Last season was the highlight of Brendan Rogers career but he has still not won a trophy being the first Liverpool coach in 50 years not to do so.
