PDC DARTS LAST 16
Wednesday, 30 December
19:00-23:00 GMT
Scotsman Peter Wright showed his class in winning a cracker
by 4 sets to 3 over England’s Dave Chisnall. No one ever had any real control
at any time and the game was exciting right up until the end of the match where
it went to a tie break and Wright was able to break Chisnal at the end to win.
We will still have his sense of madness in the world championships.
English Qualifier Alan Norris beat low seed Mark Webster from
Wales in a quite comfortable win. Webster could not get started in any way in
this match but the little experience Webster had did not help him in any way.
Jelle Klassen from the Netherlands showed last night that he
had what it takes to be a potential world champion by being able to get ahead
by a set and holding his throw against Phil Taylor to make the score 3-3 but it
came close to midnight before the match was won by 6 legs to 4 by Klassen now
we wonder how Klassen will be able to handle the media pressure
Quarter final draw
Raymond van Barneveld (Ned) v Michael Smith (Eng)
Adrian Lewis (Eng) v Peter Wright (Sco)
Gary Anderson (Sco) v James Wade (Eng)
Alan Norris (Eng) v Jelle Klaasen (Ned)
