The PDC world darts championship started yesterday and you
have your regular players for the title like Phil Taylor and Michael Van
Gerwin. It is always a lot of fun to see who has got the most chance of being
the champion as there are brilliant checkouts and music and it just feels like
a good party.
Thursday, 17 December
This was the qualifier of the night as Englishman Andy
Boulton had no real problem in dismissing Dain Per Larsson but we expected
Lauursen to do a lot more in this first round match. This is the tiume for the
underdog to shine and Lausen showed that he does not have that this season
Northern Irelands Daryl Gurney secured the first spot in the
second round with a win over young welsh wonder kid Jamie Lew2is from wales but
Lewis does look like one to watch in the near future
Peter Wright showed young hopeful Keegan Brown in an All
English masterclass and looks ready for anyone we just wonder what his hair
will do next
Scotsman Gary Anderson showed his class in beating qualifier
Andy Boulton 3-0 and at this stage looks like he can go far in defending his
world to the but these are the early rounds and they sometimes can tell you
little
