A GREAT BRITTISH DAY
IN THE POOL
There have been a few medals in the pool yesterday for British
athletes first in the 4X100 metre mixed relay they won gold with a time of 3 minutes 41.71
seconds just ahead of the USA with a
time of 3 minutes 43.27 seconds in second place and Germany in third place with
a time of 3 minutes 44.13 seconds
The hero of this meets is understood to be Adam Peaty as he
won the 50 metre breaststroke for Great Britain with a time of 26.51 seconds in
second place was Cameron Van Der Burgh from South Africa with a time of 26.66 seconds
and in third place was Kevin Cordes from the USA with a time of 26.86 seconds
Another British medal came in the high dive yesterday as
Britain Gary Hunt won gold of the 27 metre board in silver position was Mexican
Bernal Paredes and Russian Artem
Silchenko won the bronze medal
In the Men's 800m Freestyle Yang Sun won gold with a time of
7minutes 39.96 seconds in silver position was Italian Gregorio Paltrinieri with
a time of 7 minutes 40.81 seconds and in third position Mack Horton from Australia
with a time of 7 minutes 44.02 seconds
In the only Women's final of the day the 200m Freestyle went to Katie
Ledecky from the USA with a time of 1min 55.16secsin silver position was Federica
Pellegrini from Italy with a time
of 1minute 55.32 seconds and in third
was Missy Franklin from the USA with a time of
1: minute 5.49 seconds
