AWSOME LITTLE KID
Ten-year-old Alzain Tareq from Bahrain became the youngest
swimmer to compete at a World Championships when she took part in the 50m
butterfly heats.
Tareq, whose mother is Scottish, finished last in 41.13
seconds, the slowest of all 64 swimmers in Kazan.
Her goal is to qualify for the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo.
""The other swimmers are often surprised, they ask
me my name and how old I am and then they are like, 'Are you swimming here?'
"I feel so happy. I want to learn the techniques and
how they swim."
FINA World Championships, Kazan:
There were no
major results yesterday but a few races were raced earlier today
One of the gods of swimming Ryan Lochte from the USA won the
200 metre butterfly with a time of 1minute 55.810secs, followed by Thiago
Pereira from Brazil with a time of 1
minute 56.650, in third position was
Shun Wang from China with a time of
1 minute b56.810 seconds
In one of the fastest races of the meet the Men's 100m
Freestyle Zetao Ning from China won with a time of 47.840 seconds followed
by Cameron Mcevoy from Australia with a
time of 47.950 in third place Santo Condorelli from Canada with a time of
48.190 seconds
In the Women's 200m Butterfly Natsuml Hoshi from Japan won
with a time of 2 minutes 5.560secconds in second place was Camille Adams from
the USA with a time of 2minutes 06.400 seconds
and in third was Yufei Zhang from China
with a time of 2 minutes 06.510 seconds
In the Women's 50m Backstroke Yuanhui Fu from China won gold
with a time of 27.110 seconds , 2 in silver
position was Etiene Medeiros from Brazil with a time of 27.260 seconds and in third was Xiang Liualso from China with a time of 27.580secconds
In the Women's 4x200m Freestyle the United States won gold with a time of 7mins 45.370 seconds in silver position was
Italy 7:48.410 and bronze went to China with a time of 7:49.100 seconds
