28-08-15 world athletics championships

Again today there have been personal bests commonwealth records and national records go today as the competitors are showing that they are on form at the moment.
20 KM WALK WOMEN

It was up early in the morning for the 20 metre walk and home advantage was a very important part of this race

LONG JUMP WOMEN

The long standing British record for the long jump was broken today but it still was not enough for her to win the gold medal as she was in the lead when she made the jump.

Shippers is becoming a very consistent performer and is going to be one that we will have to watch out for in Rio as she is showing herself to be a world class athlete and unless injury hampers her she will surely get a medal at Rio. With a championship record today it seems like she has the form to beat anyone.
